Accreditation
On May 25, 2007, Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa was entitled by the Minister of Science and Higher Education (decision No DSW-2-02-4003-93/07) to initiate second-cycle (M. A.) “European studies”.
On April 26, 2007, the Board of the National Evaluation Committee (decision No 256/2007) accessed positively the didactic quality of first-cycle “journalism and social communication” studies at the Department of European Studies, Politology and Journalism in Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa.
On March 8,2007, the Board of the National Evaluation Committee (decision No 135/2007) accessed positively the didactic quality of first-cycle “politology” studies at the Department of European Studies, Politology and Journalism in Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa.
Under decision No 8/2005 of the Rector of Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa, issued on November 15, 2005 and related to the addition of a “social work” speciality to the already existing “family studies” at the Department of Educational Studies in Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa, this University became entitled to have such a speciality.
Under decision No 8A/2005 of Rector of Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa, issued on November 15, 2005, and related to the addition of a “European integration” speciality to the already existing “European studies” at the Department of European Studies, Politology and Journalism in Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa, this University became entitled to such a speciality.
Under decision DSW-3-JP-4003-780/05 of the Minister of National Education and Sports, issued on September 20, 2005, Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa became entitled to initiate first-cycle “family studies”.
Under decision DSW-3-JP-4003-733/05 of the Minister of National Education and Sports, issued on July 7, 2005, Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa became entitled to have “European security” as a speciality within “European studies”.
Under decision DSW-3-4003-2150/JP/04 of the Minister of National Education and Sports, issued on 10,2004, Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa become entitled to have first-cycle “journalism and social communication” studies.
Under decision DSW-3-4003-1200/JP/04 of the Minister of National Education and Sports, issued on July 23, 2004, Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa become entitled to have first-cycle “European studies”.
By decision DSW-3-4001-453/JP/04, the Minister of National Education and Sports agreed to Ateneum’s having the following first-cycle speccialities: “caretaking and rearing pedagogy”, “social rehabilitation pedagogy”, and “early education with speech therapy” (within “educational studies”) as well as “social and local-government policy” and “international political relations” (within “politology”).
Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa in Gdańsk was established under the June 23, 2004, decision DSW-3-4001-453/JP/04 of the Minister of National Education and Sports.
On July 2, 2004, Ateneum-Szkoła Wyższa was included in the register of private vocational colleges and universities. The number attributed is 297.
