The School of Foreign Languages is included in the structure of Ateneum, this University being focused on human and social sciences as well as characterized by friendliness, openness, and sensitiveness towards international issues.

Ateneum prolongs the best traditions of Gymnasium Gdańskie (Danziger Gymnasium), a school founded in 1558 and throughout the 17th and 18th centuries called the Athenaeum of Gdańsk (Danziger Athenäum).

The School of Foreign Languages teaches English, Italian, Spanish and Swedish at all levels of familiarity with them. Our office is … well, at the top level (i. e. in the third-floor room 307). Each floor can be reached in a state-of-the-art lift. The entire building is adopted to the needs of handicapped people. There is a perfect harmony between the present-day outfit and innovative teaching methods on the other hand. Therefore it is obvious that all the courses and examinations are first-class events.
