The chorus was established in 2006. Most members are students. The conductor is Agnieszka Maliszewska, M.A., a chorus conducting class graduate of StanisławMoniuszkoMusicUniversity in Gdansk and a permanent employee of Ateneum.

During the first rehearsal year, mainly the vocal basis of the ensemble was aimed at. The singing students do understand that no chorus can succeed without a good technique.

An important participation was that in the International Chorus Workshop of the Polish-GermanChorusAcademy “In Terra PAX” in Międzyzdroje.

The Ateneum Chorus meetings are highly interesting leisure options,
which combine learning, entertainment, and making friends.

The Academic Chorus of Ateneum, conducted by Agnieszka Maliszewska, welcomes each student. Its vocal technique and repertoire rehearsals are held each Tuesday afternoon.

We provide for the music contributions to Ateneum’s celebrations and take part in local concerts. Our meetings are sources of pleasure and joy due to common performing of music.
